also, with zero foot traffic, made zero sense to keep the studio space over at the narrows venter for the arts in fall river…

not at c2e2? hey, me neither… but that doesn’t mean you can’t get a commission from the comfort of your own home… i’m doing a limited number of #NotAtnyCon sketches this weekend.

okay, so 2020 is shaping up to be a VERY busy year…i’m providing art for a 6 issue mini series from dynamite, KILLING RED SONJA, written by mark russell and bryce ingman…

working on new material for the scout release of KYRRA volume 1 (20 pages of new material, and a cover or 2)… if sales are good, we’ll jump onto volume 2 sooner than later….

been a slow road, but todd and i are ramping up for the next PERHAPANAUTS graphic novel (barring any crazy developments, we plan to chart our own course and self publish again with a kickstarter campaign later this year)… it’s gonna be wild…. AND todd and i have been working on a fun little, animated style HAPS story to get out for the convention season too, so we’ll have something new on the table…

working with my pal, mike federali, hard at work on another creator owned book OWLGIRL the we hope to get off the ground soon as well (… ha, i made a bird pun)

much as i love posting my daily sketches and whatnot on social media, i realized it doesn’t do much to keep THESE projects all moving ahead (or build my own cache of art and characters… i’ll always love the big 2, but why not promote my own characters?… so besides commissioned head sketches (looking at you, steve)… most of the stuff i post here and on my patreon will be for the creator owned stuff…

well, seems weird to say it… but for a second (!) year in a row, todd and i will not be set up at one of our favorite shows, heroescon. we’re taking a break to spend time with the families, recharge and plan for for the future…

but that doesn’t mean you can’t get a sketch… like previous NotAtAnyCon weekends, i’ll be doing some LIMITED sketching on cape cod (and back home next week) and shipping them out. if you want to get one… drop me line (me@craigrousseau.com)

i realize that i post most of my art on various social media platforms (and have links to them on this website)…  but want to get better about curating my art and keeping things up to date on my personal website. i’ve updated the convention appearances, started with galleries highlighting the “just for me” concert posters and more, but there’s PLENTY more to go…
also need to get better about updating the web store and selling art beyond convention appearances…
and even considering a mailing list to keep folks in the loop beyond the social media.
so much to do, so little time… bear with me (and any thought on what you’d like to see, drop a line!)
